Jake Winkle turns conventional watercolour theory on its head in this exciting new DVD. Painters are often taught to start with the palest washes and build up to the darkest darks. Jake teaches the exact opposite. He begins with the darkest shapes to create a strong and rythmic composition.
In this DVD Jakes paints four complete paintings - three in the studio and one on lcoation where he puts his techniques into practice on the spot.
Jake sees his work in terms of shape, colour and tone. Inspired by light and movement his paintings are a reflection of the world around him. As well as exhibitions he has undertaken many fine art commissions for individuals and notable organisations including The National Trust.
In addition to his paintings Jake runs workshops and masterclasses in his home county of Dorset.
